Reiki is an ancient Japanese healing modality used for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes inner peace and balance. Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of healing and self-improvement that everyone can use.
Reiki works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery. This modality can be used for self, family, friends, clients, and pets and always promotes balance; mind, body, spirit & emotions.
The original Usui Reiki is a system created by Mikao Usui in the late 1800's based on knowledge he rediscovered the energy after many years of study and research. That knowledge came to the West through the lineage of Chujiro Hayashi (initiated by Usui) and Hawayo Takata (initiated by Hayashi). Dr. Usui and Dr. Hayashi initiated only about a dozen Masters and Ms. Takata, in over 40 years as a Master, initiated only 22 Masters. After Ms. Takata’s death in 1980, some of the 22 Masters she had initiated began to initiate Masters themselves. These Masters then initiated others, and so on.
Lineage is all about keeping the knowledge pure and true to the original teachings. In any spiritual or mystic practice, it is essential that the teachings at each generation be held true to the original. This does not restrict the practitioner or the student. It only restricts the Master-Teacher in the way the knowledge is passed on. Each recipient of the knowledge must make it his or her own; but each time one becomes a Master-Teacher there must be a return to original teachings. If this does not happen, then after only a few generations the knowledge becomes corrupted and lost. This is also the rationale for the secrecy in most traditions — to protect the knowledge from being misunderstood or misused, rather than maintaining some sort of elitism.
Once attuned into the 1st Degree, you become part of this incredible lineage. Many Master-Teachers have a different Lineage. A Usui Reiki Lineage is given with every training Manual so that the student is fully aware of how the information and energy has been passed down directly from Dr. Usui. To this day, you can still find books and teachings from the names that are included in her Lineage. There are also a number of nurses who have set up Reiki clinics in hospitals right here in the State of Rhode Island.

This is a beginner Usui Reiki Level I class. You Will Learnabout Universal Life Force Energy, the history of Reiki, hand positions for treating yourself & others and will practice giving and receiving Reiki. You will also receive the Reiki I Attunement to help increase the flow of this universal life force energy. Training includes a Usui Reiki I Manual and Certificate.

This is the 2nd level of Reiki. You Will Learn: How to use three (3) Reiki symbols in your Reiki treatments to intensify the Reiki I energy and to help clients take their healing to a deeper level. The three (3) sacred symbols can be used for mental/emotional balancing and distance healing. Learn how to use distance healing to help friends, family and the earth. You will receive a the 2nd Level Attunement, Usui Reiki II Manual and Certificate. Upon completion of the class, if you desire, you can begin building a Reiki practice and receive compensation from clients.

Prerequisite: Completion of Usui Reiki Master Practitioner (Advanced Level)
In this workshop you will receive the Usui Reiki Master-Teacher Attunement and two new Tibetan symbols which heighten the effectiveness of your Reiki symbols, for a total of six, to assist in your Reiki work. You will learn and practice how to give a Reiki Healing Attunement and Usui Reiki Attunements to students. Business ethics are covered as well as general instruction on how to market and teach classes.
